Frontline supervision training offered through Joliet Junior College has assisted Amy Gravel is being the newest addition to the Leadership Team at Clearwater Paper (formerly Potlatch). Amy was born and raised in the area She attended Bloom Trail High School in Chicago Heights and was in all honor classes. She attended JJC and Prairie State junior college pursuing a career in Engineering. Amy gained her manufacturing experience at Illinois Tool Works where she worked her way up the ladder from an operator making plastic molded injection parts for the automotive industry to a Shift Supervisor. Amy worked at ITW for 7 years until her husband, Keith, accepted a job offer in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In 2004, Amy was hired as a BRT operator for Potlatch in Las Vegas. Chuck Olson was her Shift Manager. Due to a family illness in 2006, Keith requested a transfer back to Illinois and Amy transferred to the Elwood facility. Amy switched product lines and became a line lead on HHT3. She then transferred to HHT2 as a line lead and shift relief supervisor. Amy was an active member of the Quality Committee and participated in Supplier Exchange Program. Amy's more recent endeavor is Shift Manager for B Crew. We wish her luck in her new position.
Amy and her husband Keith live in the Joliet/Minooka area with their four children; Jordan (15), Jasmyne (14), Madyson (4), and Baby Keith (2). If there is any sparetime. Amy enjoys shopping and crafts. Their home is always the most decorated on the block. The Gravel's enjoy family outings and have an all-year membership to the zoo.
