IMTT Corporation Finds JJC through Training Update Web Site

JJC Training IMTT Dan Bales is a maintenance mechanic for the IMTT Corporation in Lemont, Illinois. Because his company registered with the Training Update web site, they learned about our industrial maintenance classes and immediately enrolled Bales in the Electrical Principles and Practices class and the Pneumatics I class.

"I'm going to walk away with almost all I need to know about electrical and pneumatic operations," said Bales. "Both instructors (Cheryl Upshaw and Jeff Bradford) were very good."

Bales is the first student to enroll in a class as a result of an e-mail blast sent to web site subscribers. "Since going live with the Training Update web site, we've had many inquiries," said Amy Murphy, director of Corporate and Community Services. "Companies have asked about training in forklift, diversity, electrical safety, and more. It is encouraging to see the value so many businesses put on employee training and development."

Bales expressed his value for the training by bringing a valve to class. "It wasn't working so I thought I would bring it in," said Bales smiling. "Now I understand how this valve works."

He also got a good understanding of how to read blueprints – something he struggled with until now. "It's helped me a lot on my work. Now I understand the symbols," he said.

IMTT is considering sending Bales to more classes later this year. We look forward to having him.
