"Thanks to JJC, we were also able to train all of our new hires in the areas of
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance and Blueprint Reading skills which are essential
to working in a high-skill environment like precision machining.
The Will County Work Force Investment Board grant was a huge boon to a small manufacturing
company like ours, which might not otherwise have the resources to train employees
in certain areas. Especially useful was the high-tech training the grant allowed
us to pursue - this type of training is often expensive and might be an expense
that a small company could have difficulty prioritizing. Thanks to the grant, we
were able to pursue this essential area of training and maintain our competitive
edge in the global manufacturing marketplace. We are able to invest in the future
of the manufacturing workforce thanks to this grant, and provide the foundation
for advancing our employees to higher levels education and skill.
Our employees were very pleased with the JJC program - it was highly relevant to
the work they do every day and paved the way for their being able to achieve an
even greater mastery of their trade.
