Security Officer Certification Training – Unarmed (MGT 6440)
Are you interested in finding a career in the security field as an unarmed security guard or would you like to enhance your present job skills and earn state certification? Security officer training will prepare students for employment with a certified agency under the Illinois Private Detective, Private Security and Private Alarm Act. This training meets the requirements of the Illinois state mandate for 20-hour unarmed private security training. Costs not included: PERC card registration fee, fingerprinting, background check. Prerequisite: at least 21-years-old
Security Officer Certification Training – Armed (MGT 7928)
Upgrade your career in security by earning your Firearms Control Card (FCC). The FCC is required for employment in armed security in Illinois. Learn about firearms safety, handling, cleaning, safe storage, the FOID Act and concealed carry laws in this informative course. The definitions of force and justifiable force will be discussed, and you’ll gain an understanding of liability and search procedures. An examination will be given upon completion of the course. You must score at least 70 percent to pass the course. Costs not included: range fee and ammunition. Prerequisite: at least 21-years-old, MGT 6440. DO NOT BRING A FIREARM OR AMMUNITION TO THE COLLEGE.
