Welding Training

We can set-up any of the following seminars for your company at our facility or design a customized welding program for your employees.

Spend a Day With a Welding Expert (WLD 105)

Through the Spend a Day with a Welding Expert class you will have the opportunity to work to improve your skills in the welding process of your choice. Our welding expert will work with you to update your skills or acquire new ones in any of our standard welding processes that include SMAW, GMAW, Oxy Acetylene, GTAW, plasma arc and MIG processes.

Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick) (WLD 214)

This two-day course will focus on basic welding techniques in the SMAW process. Welding safety, metal classifications, filler metal classifications, power source identification, and equipment set-up will be covered.

Oxy Fuel Welding – Cutting, Welding, Brazing (WLD 221)

This course will focus on acetylene torch welding, brazing and cutting. Metal classifications, filler rods, proper equipment set-up, and techniques will be discussed and demonstrated. Welding techniques for plate and pipe weld prep will be taught.

Intro to Gas Metal Arc/Flux Core Welding (MIG) (WLD 231)

Training will cover personal safety, proper MIG techniques and equipment selection, setting equipment parameters, and basic welding techniques.

Basic Gas Metal Arc/Flux Core Welding (MIG) (WLD 232)

This 8-hour, hands-on course includes proper equipment settings for solid steel, flux cored steel, and stainless wires. Trainees will use a variety of weld joints in different positions. Proper welding techniques for each position will be covered. Trainees will learn how amperage, voltage, shielding gas/wire affect overall weld quality.

Intro to Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) (WLD 235)

Training will cover personal safety, setting equipment parameters for steel, stainless and aluminum alloys, proper tungsten shielding, gas selection, and basic welding techniques.

Basic Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) (WLD 236)

This 8-hour, hands-on course includes proper equipment settings for TIG welding on steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Proper tungsten, shielding gas, wire selection, and material preparation will also be discussed.

Basics of Welding and Bottle Gas Safety (WLD 240)

This course is for all plant and construction personnel that deal with welding apparatus or bottle gas storage. It’s a one-day safety seminar offered to industry. We’ll even come to your location.
