Industrial Maintenance Certificate (INDT 350)

Designed to provide the foundational skills needed to function as a maintenance technician. Hands-on instruction provides a basic understanding of electricity, pumps, boilers, pipefitting and more. Topics include common electrical circuit and identification of problems; troubleshooting a three-phase fuse box; AC and DC voltage; Fluke 80 Series Meters; purposes, types and operation of pumps; troubleshooting common boiler operation problems; types and uses of pipes and fittings; plus much more. Strong focus will be put on electrical and general safety. Program includes ELC 101, ELC 103, ELC 105, ELC 1130, ELC 1102, INDT 128, INDT 135, INDT 124 and SAF 841. Includes textbook and materials. Prerequisite: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, at least 18-years-old
